Pulcina
Espresso coffee maker
CHF 72.00

Pulcina was designed by Michele De Lucchi at Chioso, his private studio on the shores of Lake Maggiore, which was once a large chicken coop. "Lots of chickens, hens, roosters and chicks. They all died of an epidemic the year I was born, which allows me to say that the only chicken that survived is me," jokes the designer, who was actually inspired by the morphology of mountains for this innovative coffee maker: its stepped surface is reminiscent of contour lines, imaginary lines that are always closed and are used to represent relief in maps and technical drawings.
