The grape harvest began a few weeks ago. Harvesting the grapes is just one of the many steps in the long process of crafting wine. From the type of grapevine to the characteristics of the soil, from the quality of the barrels to the resting time, every moment is delicate and requires precision, care, and expertise. The same care and attention are needed to create a vessel capable of celebrating the work of many people and enhancing the high level of the final product. This is why Alessi has always been committed to creating objects for wine; the renowned designers who have collaborated with the company have turned this into a moment of reflection on everyday life, highlighting the importance of giving value to a seemingly simple gesture like drinking from a glass.

Continuing this tradition, Alessi now presents "Eugenia," a glassware collection complemented by a carafe and a decanter, designed by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. This collection is crafted to ensure a complete tasting experience in every nuance. The name chosen by the designer is a tribute to Alberto Alessi's passion for wine, which he produces at his estate "La Signora Eugenia e il Passero Solitario," where he uses a type of bottle inspired by a project by Leonardo Da Vinci.
Inspired by the obtuse angle that characterizes the bottle's shape, Fukasawa designed a collection with a pure and essential design. This angle, called "Donkaku" in Japanese, is the distinguishing feature of the entire collection: "When the lips touch the glass, you feel the obtuse angle, a simple yet unique detail," commented the designer.
Tasting thus becomes a moment of peace and poetry, where meditation, self-care, and relationships intertwine around a glass of fine wine.
