Q: Shipping to a country other than mine

Can I place an order to be delivered abroad? Yes, you simply have to place your order by selecting the destination country. For example, if you are a German customer and would like to order a product to be shipped to the UK, you just have to select the UK as a country and place your order by entering the UK destination address. Q: Damaged goods received

What if I receive a damaged item? If you have received a damaged, non-compliant, defective or incorrect product, you can request a replacement or a refund of the item within 14 days from the order reception. Please contact us by filling out our Contact Form indicating the issue related to the product, and attaching a picture or a video of the item itself, in which the defect is clearly visible. In the event that the non-conformity of the product is ascertained, we will replace it. How can I return an order?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for free* within 60 days from its reception by following our Returns&Refunds procedure and by using this Return Form.

- If you are based in Europe or in the UK, you can search for the DHL point closest to your home by using this link DHL Locator.

Enter country and zip code and select the option “Send shipment”.
In the drop-down menus, select “I have a DHL Express Account” and “I have printed a DHL label.”
You will then see the DHL Points in your area you can deliver the package to.

- If you are based in the US, you can search for the UPS point closest to your home by using this link UPS Find Locations.

Refund procedure

The refund will be made within 14 working days from the date of goods' processing by our warehouses. Starting from the date of reception of the goods, in fact, our warehouses could take up to 5 working days to check the goods and to issue the refund. It may then take up to 7 working days for the refund to appear in your bank account, depending on your bank's processing time. All the returned items will be refunded by using the same payment method used to purchase.

Please note the goods must be returned with the original packaging (not damaged) and complete with all components. We inform you also that we cannot accept returns of already used items. Moreover, we inform you that personalised items cannot be returned.

After 60 days from receipt of the goods, we will not be able to process your return request.

If you have opened a chargeback or dispute on Paypal, Shopify or on the payment systems, we will not be able to fulfil your refund or replacement request. It will be necessary to wait for the resolution times of the case.

You can complete a purchase without registering. However, we recommend you to create an account to access exclusive areas and services dedicated to our customers.

You can freely consult our catalogue by selecting the category of your interest from the navigation menu; to make your search more precise, use the filters or the internal search of the site. Each product sheet contains all the information relating to the item (description, composition, material, size ) and, by clicking on the product image, you can enlarge it to display all the details.

How to purchase a product on Alessi.com:

Generally, everything that is available on our site and for which you can place an order, is in stock and can be shipped.

Unfortunately, in sporadic cases, it may happen that due to low stock availability of certain items, and high demand, the item in question may be available for order on our website, but when the order is prepared for dispatch, the item results in being out of stock. In these cases, we will contact you promptly and offer you a full refund of your order, or, if there are other items in your order, we may proceed with partial fulfilment of your order (without adding shipping costs), and issue a refund for the unavailable item. In both cases, we will contact you before proceeding.

Timeframe

Orders are delivered on average within:

2 working days from the shipment of the order in Italy (5 days for Major Islands, Calabria and difficult areas) with Express service.
5 working days from order dispatch in Europe with Standard service.
8 working days in all other destinations worldwide with Standard service.

If the Express service is available, delivery will be made within 3 working days from the date of order processing.

All orders are processed automatically, thus it is not possible to change the shipping and delivery times.

Couriers do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays; delivery times may be delayed during public holidays either Italian ones or those of the destination country.

For deliveries to countries outside the EU, customs clearance procedures may cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

We strive to adhere to the scheduled delivery times, but during busy periods (sales, Black Friday, Christmas period, etc.) the timing may vary slightly.

Moreover, occasional technical updates to our operating system, or force majeure (such as particularly unfavourable weather conditions) may make certain delivery services temporarily unavailable or affect the time limit for placing an order and the expected delivery times. Nevertheless, we would like to reassure you that we will always continue our efforts to limit these changes as much as possible.

Orders made on www.alessi.com can be paid by credit card, American Express, PayPal, Google Pay, ShopPay and Apple Pay.

It is not possible to pay by cash, cheque, bank transfer or cash on delivery.

Express check-out is available for payment by ShopPay, PayPal, Apple Pay and GooglePay. By choosing express check-out your data (name, address, ...) will be deduced from one of the payment methods automatically. Once the order is complete, you will receive a confirmation email containing your Order Number and a summary of the purchase details.

How can I be sure the order has been finalised?

Once the order has been correctly processed and paid, you will receive a confirmation email with the order number and all the info regarding the order placed.

What if I have not received the order confirmation email?

If you do not receive any order confirmation email, this means the order has not been placed.

In cases like this, Alessi does not receive any payment. The payment will remain "pending" on the payment method for a few days (depending on the payment method used and the bank) and the transaction will then be deleted.

Please check the reception of the order confirmation email in the spam folder, too.

Purchase receipt

For all our orders, we issue a purchase receipt that contains all the order details and the buyer data. The VAT percentage applied is that of the country of destination.

Can I ask for a VAT invoice?

We can issue electronic invoices only if you own an Italian VAT number and only in case of an Italian shipping address. Please send us all the data needed for invoicing through our Contact Form and proceed with the request to the administration department.

For all other countries, we can issue a receipt with all personal/company data but we cannot issue an electronic invoice. We cannot issue VAT-free invoices and the VAT % applied to the goods corresponds to the VAT % of the destination country. In all these cases, a purchase receipt will be issued.

Warranty

What does the warranty cover and how long does it last?

The warranty covers any manufacturing defects of the product.

Defects resulting from improper usage or maintenance of the item are not covered by warranty. According to the law, the warranty lasts 24 months from the date of purchase, as shown on the receipt/invoice, as stated in paragraph 8.1 of our Terms of Sale.
