Richard Sapper

"My thought process generally starts from a problem, starts from something that I feel is not there." This grater was born out of a personal need for Richard Sapper. Creator of some of Alessi's most innovative objects, he was in charge of grating cheese in his family, but having large hands, he always found it difficult to use the small graters on the market. "For me, form is the consequence of an inner life that the object must have." So he designed Todo, which will fill large consumers of grated cheese with satisfaction.
