Ufficio Tecnico Alessi

Alla fine degli anni ’40, dopo la pausa bellica, riprende l’attività progettuale dell’Ufficio Tecnico Alessi. Tra le ricerche, quella sui prodotti in filo di metallo porta nel 1948 alla produzione del cestino rotondo 826, seguito nel 1955 dalla versione ovale e nel 1966 da quella quadrata. Alla semplicità esecutiva di questi cestini corrisponde un risultato formale raffinato. Il loro successo è notevole: offrono un’alternativa più moderna e dinamica ai cestini d’argento, ancora diffusi, adatta tanto a tavole curate quanto informali, anticipando il gusto contemporaneo per il minimalismo ricercato.
